Does putting sweeteners affect the nutrient content of a purely herb tea?
I made a moringa tea last night and then my tea tastes like the leaves of moringa…so i put a sugar on it…
I wonder if the sweeteners can affect the nutrient content of the tea…
Please help, i really want to know…. i need it for my project….
If you use natural sweeteners like honey, NO. Processed sugar is bad for you, that is the only downfall. If you are steeping tea it should not be for more than 5 minutes, after that the tea turns bitter. You can resteep the bag to get more mileage out of it. If you want bitter dark tea then go right ahead and steep it long. Remember if you oversteep it gets gross. Heat your water to a rapid boil, then turn off and add tea. If you are making Lipton tea than oversteeping would be fine I guess.
